I am so pleased and excited to announce my new website is up! Yay! I have been working on this for so long, got a little stuck so I recruited MokaDesign for a little help.
Please, go and check it out! I am still working on a few sections but I am really happy with the progress.
One thing to note, my email (megan@meganrobbins.com) is now down because I dropped the server it was on so while I work out the kinks of that, please send all email inquiries to memoriesbymegan@msn.com.

Hello lovelies! This is such an exciting week for my studio, I have a new website in the works, for real this time, I swear! Look for a post in coming days for more details!
I have an awesome wedding to show you! Cyndy and Frank were a total blast to work with! They were very open to my ideas and really respected and allowed my creativity to flow and boy did it!
The ceremony and reception were held at the fabulous Silver Spur Hitching Post

Cyndy dress was such a gorgeous color and so elegant!

gotta have the fab shoe shot! {or two}

She was just beaming!

Due to lighting constraints, the couple choice to see each other before the ceremony

Work-it-out!

Not to be out done, the very handsome Frank

All smiles!

Here is the couple's wedding party, her daughter and his son. We had a lot of fun together

The whole crew!

Flowers done by the wonderful Leslie Davis of Leapin' Lilies

Cigar, anyone?

Reception details

Ceremony time! Aaron and Lee of Desert View Productions were the videographers of the evening

Cyndy was accompanied by her dear brother

Husband and Wife!

A few more with the wedding party after the ceremony

Frank actually proposed to Cyndy at El Encanto so we headed over there for a few shots. I just love how they came out!

This has to be one of my all time favorite shot, ever! I love the energy and spirit of this shot but I really have to give credit to my awesome couple, they just owned it!

hahaha, they wanted to do a shot with everyone "sleeping"...too funny!

{01/02/2009} Thomas and Belinda say i do!
I've been so excited to show off this wedding to you for a few reasons, first off this was my first time shooting at the Castle at Ashley Manor and I thought it was GORGEOUS! Secondly, it was my first wedding of the new year. Lastly, I just loved this couple. The way he looks at her you just know nobody else gets that. The way she beamed with light as she peaked through the windows of her palace to see her prince. Love, pure and simple.

The beautiful Castle at Ashley Manor

Reception area

I love this shot with the chandelier and the dress!

besties!

the ladies trying to get a sneak peak of the guys

look what I found looking right back at me during the ceremony! Such a doll

Husband and Wife!

Such a gorgeous bride!

All smiles from the Mr. to the Mrs.

Here is a little WP action to feast your eyes on

Mother/son dance

Couldn't let this cutie slip past me! All giggles

last shots of the night
Thanks so much to the wonderful couple and their families! You guys were such fun to work with and had such great energy and devotion. A big thanks to Norine and Gene, you guys are awesome and I love working with your families! Thanks so much for the referral!

Happy Anniversary!
Today is a very special day for my family, it is my parents 29 wedding anniversary!
I just wanted to tell them how much their love matters to me. They have been such wonderful role models of what loving someone is. I am so blessed to have had a front row seat all these years. Because of them, I know how challenging and rewarding love is when you work at it.
I love you both, you are the best parents a girl could dream up. Happy 29 years!

2005

This was in Hawaii, a bunch of us went there to witness them renewing their vows on the beach. Hawaii is one of their favorite places to be

hahaha, doesn't that last one just crack you up?!?! Me too.

{11/28/2008} Mariam and Alper say i do!
Boy oh boy do I feel like I am running behind on this blog...
Never the less, I am really excited to show you Mariam and Alper's wedding. I shot her sister's wedding, Rain, back in 2006 so I was really excited when they contacted me about Mariam. The couple had a traditional Afghanistan wedding and it was really beautiful but I let you be the judge...

one of my favorite shots, so intimate

love this

this couple was so sweet and natural with eachother, it was really special

I felt like I hit the jack pot when we were walking around and turned a corner to find the sun staring back at us, it was gorgeous

Mariam with her besties

also a favorite of the day

we headed up to towards the rooftop of the Sheraton Crescent in Phoenix to catch the last little bit of sunset

time for the ceremonies

the bride and groom enter into the room slowly to the drum beat while the Holy Quran is held over their heads

then they kiss the sacred Holy Quran

this band, Qader Eshparu, drove out from San Francisco for the wedding then right back

As King and Queen of the night, the bride and groom watch as their wedding party and family and friends dance the night away

After the “Ahesta bero” is done the Bride and groom are covered under a very decorated shawl where in the past the groom will look at his Brides face in a mirror and will read a prayer from the Holy Quran, In the decades past this would have been the first time ever that the bride and groom would have seen each other face due to arranged marriages.

“Hena Beyarin bar Dastash gozarain” which means Bring Hena (Kheena) a red colored dye which leave a Orange Red stain on the skin) and place on their hand. Historically the bride and grooms palms were cut in little insertion so that they could be joined in blood, as time passed they replaced it with Hena so it would be more healthy and lest messy.

meanwhile, friends and family still dance throughout the night

my sneaky little assistant, Lois, snapped this one of me...

first dance as Husband and Wife

The couple had a special dance with her sister, Rain and her husband Jason

then one with both sets of parents

Cake time! This gorgeous cake topper was made by the couple themselves

another tradition is the bride's father ties this green sash around her waist and the only person who can remove it is the Husband at the end of the night.

Her eyes are stunning

The couple chose to see each other before the wedding. I think it helped calm all nerves!

The amazing bouquet was done by Leslie of Leapin' Lilies, you rock girl!

The ladies looking feroche

Love this shot of the girls walking away as the sun is setting

Just a few more portraits before ceremony time, I love this one!

the sky and moon are so beautiful in this shot!
